What does the Jersey SIM card include?

The Jersey SIM card includes mobile data and a UK phone number. Plans for use in the UK and Europe also include unlimited calls and texts. Choose the data amount from the plan options on this page.

Does the SIM card for Jersey come with a UK phone number?

Yes. The SIM card for Jersey runs on Three UK and comes with a UK phone number. You receive the number in the confirmation email on your activation date. Your current number cannot be transferred to it.

Can I make calls and send texts with the UK number on the Jersey travel SIM card?

Yes, calls and texts are included in plans for the UK and Europe. While you are in the UK, you can call and text UK numbers only. While you are in Europe, you can call and text European numbers. Calls to countries outside Europe are not possible.

Can I recharge the Jersey travel SIM card?

Yes. Order a recharge on our recharge page at least 24 hours before your current plan expires. The recharge starts once the current plan has expired, and unused data, minutes and texts do not roll over.

What happens when I use all the data on the Jersey SIM card?

Your internet connection stops until you buy more data. An additional plan only starts once the current plan has expired.

How do I activate my Jersey SIM card?

Once you have received your Jersey SIM card, send an activation request on our activation page and choose the date you want it activated. We activate it on that date and email you a confirmation with your phone number.

Do I need to switch on data roaming for the SIM card for Jersey?

Yes. Switch on mobile data and data roaming, then restart your phone. On Android: Settings > Mobile Networks > Data Roaming. On iPhone: Settings > Mobile Data > Mobile Data Options > Data Roaming. The internet (APN) settings are already set up on the SIM card.

Does the Jersey travel SIM card need a PIN?

No. The Jersey travel SIM card does not need a PIN. If your phone shows 'blocked', 'barred', 'incorrect SIM' or 'SP lock', it is locked to another network: ask your current provider for the unlock code.

Will my phone work with the Jersey SIM card?

The Jersey SIM card works in unlocked (SIM-lock free) phones. It is a trio SIM, so it fits standard, micro and nano SIM slots. If your phone is locked, ask your current provider for the unlock code.

Can I keep using WhatsApp with my own number on the SIM card for Jersey?

Yes. WhatsApp keeps working with your current phone number while the SIM card for Jersey provides the data.
